Born and educated in Prague, Czech Republic, I grew up surrounded by legends of the old city where every little house, statue, tower or passage has a story to tell. So I walked through the ancient streets listening… and as I tiptoed around the timeworn palaces, churches, and cathedrals or strolled around singing fountains and enigmatic statues in Prague’s lilac scented gardens, I dreamt about people who walked there before me.
 
I tried to recreate some of my reveries by writing and illustrating stories for my younger sister who appreciated my drawings of knights, beasts, and princesses as well as my storytelling.
